This was a project for my Motion Techniques class-- the prompt was that it needed to include voiceover of some kind. My solution was to make a simple story with the voiceover style of a hard-boiled private investigator.

The character design of Jack Thorn was dialed in pretty quickly, but his color scheme not so much. I knew what colors I had to work with from early on, but deciding which variation to go with was trickier than anticipated. I ended up going with my first version-- sometimes you need to see what doesn't work so that you can finally trust what does.
